The
cleanliness of the nipple should begin
right from the beginning of pregnancy.A

massage them with oil from the seventh month
of pregnancy.Stretch them gently.This prevents
retracted nipples.This routine keeps the nipples
soft and erect so the chances of cracked or
painful nipples are greatly reduced.In the
ninth month, the mother-to-be must indulge
in positive visualisation.Visualise that your
baby is in your arms sucking your breasts,
which are full of the goodness in you in the
form of breast milk.The baby is sucking peacefully
and a warm glow is enveloping
you.This feeling of joy stimulates your brain
to produce more milk producing hormones.Along
with this interact with your doctor and understand
and dispel your misconceptions and most importantly,
those of your elders-like wasting away the
colostrum.Correct positive feedback will help
you tremendously.Constant and continuous(day
and night)mother and child proximity i.e.
rooming in promotes pro-lactin activity.It
always improves milk secretion.
