The
Fallsview Tourist Area in Niagara Falls, Ontario
is the main tourist attraction surrounding
the Falls. Niagara Falls is a Canadian city
on the Niagara River in the Golden Horseshoe
region of south-central Ontario. It lies across
the river from Niagara Falls, New York. The
city is dominated by the Niagara Falls waterfalls
on the Niagara River and benefits from the
fact, that both falls, American Falls and
Horseshoe Falls, can be best seen from the
Canadian side thus presenting the city one
of the major tourist attractions of the world.

Falls Observation Related Attractions:
Maid Of The Mist: The Maid of the Mist
is a boat tour of Niagara Falls. The boat
starts off at a calm part of the Niagara River,
near the Rainbow Bridge, and takes its passengers
past the American and Bridal Veil Falls, then
into the dense mist of spray inside the curve
of the Horseshoe Falls. The tour is available
starting from either the Canadian or U.S.
side of the river, returning to the starting
point in each case.
Journey
Behind the Falls (known until the early
1990s as the Scenic Tunnels) is an attraction
in Niagara Falls, Ontario located in the Table
Rock Center beside the Canadian Horseshoe
Falls. Journey consists of an observation
platform and series of tunnels near the bottom
of the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian shore
of the Niagara River.

B.Niagara
River And Parkway Attractions:
Nine kilometers north of the Falls along the
Niagara Parkway is the Niagara Parks Botanical
Gardens and School of Horticulture. Niagara's
Floral Clock is another free horticultural
attraction just 2.5 kilometres (1.5 miles)
north of the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens.
Built in 1950, the clock is one of the largest
in the world at 12.2 metres (40 feet ) in
diameter. The "floral face" of the clock is
changed twice a season. Violas are planted
to provide a colourful design to welcome in
the spring season. The Whirlpool Aero Car
or Spanish Aero Car is a cable car on the
Canadian side of the Niagara River.
White Water Walk at the Niagara River rapids;
Winter Festival of Lights ; Butterfly conservatory;
Dufferin Islands; Niagara Parks School of
Horticulture; Niagara River Recreation Trail;
Whirlpool Jetboat tours of the Niagara Gorge;

Carillon, which sounds from the Rainbow Tower

C.Casinos:
The Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara
Falls, Ontario Canada with a belle époque
theme overlooks the Horseshoe Falls and is
one of the grandest and most extensive destinations
on the Niagara skyline. The casino has a 35-floor
374-room hotel rising from above the casino
complex. Casino Niagara is a commercial casino
located in Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada.
Due to its prime location beside Clifton Hill,
it will remain open as a permanent facility.

Theme Restaurants:
One of the major Theme restaurants is Planet
Hollywood, a theme restaurant chain inspired
by the popular portrayal of Hollywood, was
launched in New York on October 22, 1991,
with the backing of Hollywood stars Sylvester
Stallone, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and in
the past, Arnold Schwarzenegger who has since
sold his part. Other important ones are Rainforest
Cafe and the Hard Rock Café.

Marineland is a themed amusement and animal
exhibition park in the city of Niagara Falls,

Waterpark is located on Falls Avenue in Niagara

Skylon Tower / Konica Minolta Tower Centre
/ Other Towers:
The Skylon Tower, in Niagara Falls, Ontario,
is the tallest structure that overlooks both
the American Falls, New York and the larger
Horseshoe Falls, Ontario from the Canadian
side of the Niagara River. The Skylon Tower
is Niagara's most famous landmark due to its
view of both the American Falls and Canadian
Horseshoe Falls. Skylon Towers provides Revolving
dining towering 774 feet above Niagara gorge.
Standing at 160 metres (520 feet) from street
level and 236 metres (775 feet) from the bottom
of the falls, the tower features three outside
mounted "Yellow Bug" elevators. The tower
has two restaurants at its top, the lower
Revolving Dining Room and the upper Summit
Suite Buffet. An observation deck sits at
the tower's summit. The base of the tower
features a number of gift shops, fast food
restaurants and a large amusement arcade,
3D/4D Theatre, two Starbucks franchises, other
quick service franchises and a bridge connecting
the complex with the newly completed Fallsview
Casino.
The Konica Minolta Tower Centre, opened in
1962, is located in the Fallsview district
of Niagara Falls, Ontario and was the first
of the modern observation towers built near
the brink of the Falls. The Konica Minolta
Tower Center was originally called the Seagram
Tower. It features an indoor observation deck,
restaurant, wedding chapel, and hotel. From
street level, the tower is 99 meters (325
feet) tall, however it is situated 160 meters
(525 feet) above the falls.
Drummond Hill Tower was built for visitors
to have an aerial view of the War of 1812
Battle of Lundy's Lane battle field and the
Drummond Hill Cemetery where many British
and American soldiers killed during the battle
are buried.
Street's Pagoda was named for an early area
settler, Thomas "T.C." Street, who had ownership
of Cedar Island, located between the Horseshoe
Falls and Dufferin Islands. This tower was
dismantled in 1887, and Cedar Island was eventually
made part of the mainland with the construction
of the Rankine Generating Station upriver
by 1910.

Attractions:
Clifton Hill is the major tourist promenade
in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The street, close
in proximity to Niagara Falls and the Niagara
River, leads from River Road on the Niagara
Parkway to intersect with Victoria Avenue.
The street contains a number of gift shops,
wax museums, haunted houses, restaurants,
hotels and themed attractions. For visitors,
it is a major amusement area and centre for
night life.
Niagara-on-the-Lake is one of the prettiest
towns in Canada and also one of the most fascinating
historically. Strategically situated at the
mouth of the mighty Niagara River, Niagara-on-the-Lake
has retained its 19th century charm and is
a wonderful place to explore with its forts,

To Get To Fallsview, Ontario, Canada:
The
big waterfall can be accessed from both the
Canadian and the American side, though the
best view FACING the falls is entirely from
the Canadian side. One of the southernmost
points of the Province of Ontario, the City
of Niagara Falls shares it border with another
Niagara Falls, in New York State. The Niagara
Falls Ontario side offers much more to the
sightseer, while the Niagara Falls, New York
side caters to those that are continuing their
journey into the United States.

Rail service is provided in Canada twice daily

stops at Niagara Falls NY, Buffalo-Exchange,
Buffalo-Dick Road, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica,
Schenectady, and Albany-Troy.

Bus service is provided by Trentway Wagar
(Coach Canada) and Greyhound Lines of Canada.
Some service on Trentway Wagar or Greyhound
Lines of Canada may operate with Adirondack
Trailways, Capitol Trailways and New York
Trailways equipment. Follow directions of
terminal announcements to find your correct
bus. The Niagara Falls Coach Terminal is located
at the corner of Bridge Street and Erie, in
Downtown Niagara Falls.
